MEET OUR FOUNDER

I was born in Miami, Florida, so I’m a Disney obsessed, avid adult fantasy reader and whimsical af, which simply means I’m somewhat of a creative geek - if that’s even a thing. I’ve offered creative, fun and affordable event design and curation since 2016, but I’ve been an artist all of my life. What I love most in the world is creating something from nothing, with a really great glass of wine. I come from a family of artists, so creating things is a form of meditation for me and comes so naturally, I don’t have to think about it much. I can look at something and immediately know how it was made and I had no clue that isn’t the case for most people, especially since I grew up surrounded by the arts in some form or fashion.

I discovered crafting wasn’t a “thing” while hosting my girlfriends a few years ago. They were given the task of mixing their own body scrubs and there were questions, quizzical looks, and fascination as I explained what was to me, a very simple concept. We exchanged memories, caught up on current life events, and we were able to take home a token of this new memory we literally created together.  From then on, they raved about how much fun they had and would constantly ask “When’s our next crafting meet up?”. That’s how Crafty Rebels came to exist. It started as a simple meetup with my friends and now, here I am! Now I enjoy creating wearable art and accessories. Currently watching “Bridgerton” on Netflix (Whew!) and creating art from my living room sofa, so every piece is handmade, packaged and shipped with love and good vibrations by me.
